Release 7% DA installment: NMC
Reiterating its demand for early release of pending seven per cent installment of Dearness Allowance (DA), National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged upon the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to release the installment due from July last in favour of its employees and pensioners of the Government well before Dusshera festival which falls on September 30, 2017.
Interacting with reporters here, president of NMC, Subash Shastri said that any delay in the release of this installment of DA would ultimately pile-up the arrears thus adding extra burden on State Government.
“As a goodwill gesture, an early release of DA installment is need of the hour adding that they have high hopes from PDP and BJP led Coalition Government,’’ he added.
Shastri further urged the CM for her intervention into ensuring payment of all pending wages to daily rated workers before Dusshera festival, regularization of services of 61,000 daily rated workers, enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month for pensioners on the pattern of pensioners of the Central Govt and early implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in the State.
