Karnataka Budget 2017-18 : CM announces implementation of 7th pay commission
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today presented his 12th budget in Bengaluru. This is the 4th budget as a chief minister of the state.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah said that his government will implement the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), benefiting about 6 lakh state government employees
In a budget Speech CM Siddaramaiah mentioned that
“Government employees play an important role in development of the State. As per the Pay Committee’s recommendations, benefit of previous pay revisions was extended to Government employees from 01.04.2012. There is a demand by the Government employees for pay revision. In the meanwhile, Central Government has also revised pay for their employees. In this background, pay commission will be formed to examine the request of the Government employees.”
Monthly pension for freedom fighters will be increased from Rs.8,000 to Rs.10,000 and monthly pension for Goa liberation fighters from Rs.3,000 to Rs.4,000.”
