Chhatisgarh hikes 6% DA
Government on Saturday announced the hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) of State Government employees by 6 per cent.
After receiving the recommendation of Chief Minister Raman Singh, state finance department has released an order from Mantralaya in this regard.
According to officials information, after the current hike, the DA of State Government employees has swollen to 125 percent. The increased DA would be given from January 1, 2016, officials stated.
Notably, earlier following the recommendation of Chief Minister, the state finance department had sanctioned 119 per cent revised DA from July 1, 2015 for state employees.
The finance department has released orders in the form of circular to Chairman of revenue board, all departments, departmental heads, regional Commissioners and district collectors.
The order will cover all employees working in the capacity of in-charge or receiving pay from contingency fund or university grant commission (UGC) or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Office-bearers of various employee organizations have welcomed the initiative and have expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Raman Singh.
