Antarctica Allowance
The Indian Antarctic Program is a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional program under the control of Ministry of Earth Sciences, wherein studies are conducted in atmospheric, biological, earth, chemical, medical and other sciences by sending teams to the Antarctica. To compensate for the hardship that those undertaking this expedition face during their sojourn in Antarctica, this special allowance is granted. The present rates are:
